چکیده

Abstract. This paper reports on the methodology developed for a new hydraulic interpretation of flowmeter logs, allowing better characterization continental hydrological basins. In course log, different flow stretches are established, mostly corresponding to permeable layers (aquifers), among which there other mainly less (aquitards). such basins sufficient thickness, these may not have same head. fact brings about need that provides actual distribution horizontal permeability throughout aquifer at depth. The modified in this study focuses differences effective pressure gradient (considered difference between head well and each stretch) experienced by along well, due existence heads. has been starting from water located multilayered within so-called Madrid basin (the north-western part Tagus River), centre Iberian Peninsula. step-drawdown pumping test was conducted, rate versus drawdown specific capacity showed discrepancies with Darcian behaviour an exponent Jacob equation than 1. Flowmeter logs were then recorded discharge rates pump depths; resulting input deeper did appear show expected relation respect drawdown. With proposed results comply linearity cited solved.

Performance Model for Vertical Wells with Multi-stage Horizontal Hydraulic Fractures in Water Flooded Multilayer Reservoirs

For the characteristics of horizontal fractures in shallow low-permeability oil layers after hydraulic fracturing in multilayer reservoirs, horizontal fractures are taken equivalent to an elliptical cylinder with the reservoir thickness using the equivalent permeability model; then, upon the elliptic seepage theory, the seepage field which has led by a vertical well with horizontal fractures is...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Novel Downhole Electromagnetic Flowmeter for Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow in High-Water-Cut Oil-Producing Wells

First, the measuring principle, the weight function, and the magnetic field of the novel downhole inserted electromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) are described. Second, the basic design of the EMF is described. Third, the dynamic experiments of two EMFs in oil-water two-phase flow are carried out. The experimental errors are analyzed in detail. The experimental results show that the maximum absolute v...

Recent Advances in Hydraulic Fracturing for Enhanced Well Productivity: State of the Art Report

Hydraulic fracturing of horizontal wells is considered as the main reason for the phenomenal increase in production of oil and gas from marginal and unconventional reservoirs in North America. The process evolution started more than a decade ago and has resulted in ultra-low permeability reservoirs producing at close to the same rates as some of the very prolific reservoirs in the Middle East,...
